Rajwane Kafrouni is an economist at the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Transitions in Lille (LITL) and an associate professor in economics at the Catholic University of Lille, at the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Sciences (FGES). She conducts research in sustainable development. Her thesis focused on the contribution of cultural heritage to the sustainability of the development trajectory of island economies, through its impact on vulnerability and resilience. Her post-doctoral research aims to identify levers to ensure the transition from an unsustainable linear economy to a circular economy with an application to the repair sector. Building on her doctoral research on economic vulnerability and her post-doctoral research on transitions to a circular economy, she is particularly interested in vulnerability to energy transition and just transitions.
